Strong research branch. Pay is OK, stability is better than average. To advance in most jobs, you have to apply for a different job.

Advice for prospective applicants:

It is a good place to work. For the forestry sector, pay is generally better than you can make in the private sector.

Though they are understaffed, the employees work hard because they love their work. Many are on their way to retirement & enjoying good benefits.

They are a great employer that offers wonderful benefits if, you're on as a permanent employee. However if not, it can be tricky working seasonally and trying to find work in the off season.

This is an excellent agency to work for if you enjoy the outdoors. Be careful about ending up with an unwanted desk position.
