US House Rep to pay back city

Us House Represenative has admitted to a little wrong doing in Jacksonville Florida during the recent hurricane. During the week she has stated she will pay about $900 back to the city for the use of city inmates, sand bags, and sand, but atleast she is paying back!!! What about the other ones out there mis-using their power. I talked about it on the radio Saturday and Duval County residents who just love her said it was acceptable to them! Kinda crazy but what do you do?

Doubt it highly. People take advantage of disasters in order to make massive and quick profits based on emergency needs all the time. And I have to agree with neal3189 that she definitely did the right thing by taking steps to make better the issue.

Indeed. And personally, I would think the WORST time to abuse power for personal benefit is when others are suffering, for which a hurricane certainly counts.

The only problem I have with her doing what I think you're saying she did is that it was for personal benefit. I've talked about using inmates as labor before and I think it's a great idea.

She should be repremanded for abuse of position first.
