It's a good point Trap, though I think this topic revolves more around Palin's conflicting statements than the bridge itself. However, if anything, your point makes Palin's new stance (agreeing that it was a bridge to nowhere and deciding to cancel) look like more of a pure political move.

Why is it that no one does any research on the "bridge to nowhere"? If they did they would learn that the bridge was to link the city of Ketchikan with it's airport on Gravina Island. The bridge was not just for the "few" residents of Gravina Island but for the entire community of the Ketchikan Borough. Fact: the bridge was to link the city to the airport.

I'll say wow. I guess the "many Alaskans" Palin has angered explains her 80% approval rating. Maybe she just makes the correct decision when presented with all the facts. Why is it a problem that she will use the funds for a more appropriate project?
