| Description: | In the Watergate Building, lights go on and four burglars are caught in the act. That night triggered revelations that drive a U.S. President from office. Washington reporters Bob Woodward (Robert Redford) and Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) grabbed the story and stayed with it through doubts, denials and discouragement. All the President's Men is their story. Directed by Alan J. Pakula and based on the Woodward/Bernstein book, the film won four 1976 Academy Awards (Best Supporting Actor/Jason Robards, Adaptation Screenplay/William Goldman, Art Direction and Sound). It also explores a working newspaper, where the mission is to get the story and get it right. |
This is one of my all-time movie favorites. If anything, it teaches all of us the important lesson, "Follow the money!!"
I've seen this movie but it's been a long time a ago. From what I remember, I liked it and it had a lot of suspense.
This is a great movie about the Watergate era. Thought both Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford did a great job portraying Woodward and Berstein.
Always a good flick
Without a doubt, this is a five star movie. It is worthy of the nominations and awards it received.
Great movie-Having lived through the times it was a eye opening account of just how some people in government will go to stay in power. The story of these two reporters and how they unraveled the cover-up is facinating.
this was well crafted and the story gives us a look real life events.../
