Although this book was written in the 1920s, there is an imense amount of historical, culture, and customs of the Middle Eastern region during World War One. The majority of the book gives the reader and in depth view of how a British Officer (TE Lawrence) was able to create an effective fighting force from multiple differences and beliefs. A well written book that gives us to normal day to day operational planning and the careful consideration needed to assist tribal differences to accomplish the overall mission.
