| Description: | The story begins when Llewelyn Moss (Brolin) finds a pickup truck surrounded by a sentry of dead men. A load of heroin and two million dollars in cash are still in the back. When Moss takes the money, he sets off a chain reaction of catastrophic violence that not even the law - in the person of aging, disillusioned Sheriff Bell (Jones) - can contain. As Moss tries to evade his pursuers - in particular a mysterious mastermind who flips coins for human lives (Bardem) - the film simultaneously strips down the American crime drama and broadens its concerns to encompass themes as ancient as the Bible and as bloodily contemporary as this morning's headlines. |
Absolutely awesome film! Javier Bardem is superb as Anton Chigurh, and he should definitely get an Oscar nomination. The eccentricity of the characters makes it hard not to laugh many times - this is a reaction that only the Coen Brothers are able to bring out of people in such a bloody film.
The film was great not to many big actors and made you wanna keep watching the whole way through. Didnt like what happened to Llewelyn they built him up to much for that. It deffinitly shows that times are changing and we need to catch up or we will fall behind. The ending was soso that is why I gave it 4 stars.
Great movie! After receiving four academy awards, especially for best picture, it's certainly considered as one of my favorite films.
I liked this movie but I thought from the previews that there would have been a little more actions!
This picture deserved all of the four Oscars it received.
Stunning, brilliant, captivating.
