Posted about 1 year ago I want to work for the IT department of the USPS. Does anyone have any insight to the IT department? I currently work for the DOD, so I would be transitioning. I hope to learn as much as I can and try to apply. I assume the IT dept is centrally managed because I never see IT jobs anywhere but D.C.? |

| Posted about 1 year ago It has been over a year since I have been looking at the Post Office and I have not seen one job posting for any position in my Area. Has anyone else had similar results? If you did find employment with the USPS, how do you like it? |

| Posted about 1 year ago Where do you live joatmon? I think there USPS probably has several boomers that will be retiring like all federal employers. |

| Posted about 1 year ago I live in San Antonio, but I think the IT is centrally managed out of D.C. and I don't plan on moving (at least to D.C.). I did talk to some postal employees and they said they always get overtime and wish some jobs would open up. I will keep looking. |

| Posted 12 months ago I hope there are some boomers about to retire in the USPS, but like most boomers I talke to they always seem to hold on for one more year. |
