Posted 9 months ago If you work for the Post Office, no matter what position, I want to know how you like it and other experiences you would like to share. Please help clear up some things like; Is your health insurance better than other Federal agencies? Do you get more overtime? Do you get denied leave more often/less often? Do you feel like your are expected to work at 100% all the time? Of course, if you haven't worked for another agency it will be hard to gauge, but you can compare it to any other job. Thanks. |

| Posted 3 months ago I am employed at usps. I am considered a PTF. Part Time Flexible. I ca not compare to other agency's but I do know that I am looking to get out. I work anywhere from 25-50 hours a week. My scheduale changes on a daily, no , hourly basis and they treat you like you are a nobody. The pay is great, when you get the hours but you have to give 125 % all of the time or you are considered slacking. If you are having a bad day, and you are only at 100%, watch out. I work in a small ofc so I will continue to b a PTF with out a set scheduale for the next 5 years or so. I am currently looking to switch over to a GS position or a NSPS. We do have great benifits. All around. Good luck with yor search and if you can get into a 200 man hour ofc, you will be a regular and have a set scheduale. |

| Posted 3 months ago It actually depends in what position you are in. PTF is a tuff job and the hours depend on the position. Now, in Cali big offices do not have clerk ptfs. There will always be carrier ptf. And yes you are expected to work 100 percent of the time but there are alot of employees who don't. Overtime also depends in the office you are in. |
