It seems to me that all of my Aircraft experiences I have gained since the Mid 70's has all gone to waist living here in Los Angeles,California in which I love living here and do not want to ever move away or live any where else! America has gone from a "Manufacturing" country to a "Service" country!! Now,I must think "Outside of the Box" and get myself retrained in the Service Industry to become employable again!! How do I do that with no money and no experiences? PLEASE!!! Any Ideals anyone? Thank You, C.P. |

| Posted 11 months ago I'm sure some members will be able to help you - It's always been my understanding that there are many federal jobs in the LA area. Are you looking for a govt. or contracting position? |

| Posted 8 months ago I am considering a job in homeland security and counter terrorism, but have found it difficult to find such a job. There is no degree for such a position. I have a very observant eye and seem to notice things all the time out of the ordinary that no one does anything about. Many times while I observe these things I really consider what terrorist threats they might pose! Why do I have to have a degree to prove that I can do the job. I am an operative and have been all of my life but I have no degree in such. I want to know why could they not use a practical test to see how good of a job we would do? I would love to be an operative for the government, but find it difficult to find a job that would suit me. I became very interested in the operative business a long time ago when working for the Big Boy AT&T. I started to notice a lot of wrongs that no one did anything about and it sparked my interest as I later worked for the IRS and many other jobs since I always worked more than one job at a time. I am very diverse in many fields. I took Latin in school and find it very easy to understand numerous languages including Arabic although I speak only a little Spanish and a little Italian! What should I do next. I even speak sign language. I have been called an albino by many of my friends because I seem to be able to infiltrate almost any group get information and get out. I have a positive track record of this and know a lot of about a lot but just don’t know what to do next. It is frustrating. I am a proud American and I just want to find a way to put my observant, analytical, and quick thinking skills to the test, even if I never carry a gun to do the job. |
