Posted 6 months ago O.k. who is truely keeping up with these canidates?,or is it that we are truely caught up in our world to notice.The obvious hangs out like a sore thumb this obama character is really wasteing our time with his agenda.his visions of intergrating the mexicans to the united states would have catastrophic results.that of americas leading industries are not as strong of foundations as you would think.some are reliant upon the trade market which china has a great influence and are haveing many problems with their country as well.with all the earthquakes happening their i am shure they will utillise all their resources to confensate for what they lack.Thus money concerns and they are allready takeing the advantage.that of their visions of their ideal of city expansions and future construct of industry.China has more of an impact with our daily lives in concerns with the value of our currency.europe is allready in troubleing times among this relations and the u.s. isn't too far off.The type of president we really could use would be the type of an eishenhour,one that invest into americas poor industries.I would predict if this obama was to be president i can forsee a future civil war to evolve.How careless can we be to let such a person subside is it the money?.also what a variety of canidates we can select to elect when only the rich apply?.what has happened to our nation?. |

| Posted 6 months ago I would have to disagree with the whole "obama will lead us to civil war" statement, and highly suggest you edit your post for formatting issues.
As for most of what you wrote, however, our Presidential candiates promise two things: 1) what we (the general public) want to hear and 2) what their corporate sugar daddies want to hear. If we are LUCKY, those sometimes coincide with what our country (and the world) actually needs.
It would probably help if such a large part of humanity wasn't the hypocritical, uninformed, short-sighted, flip-floppers we so very much love to hate when it comes to our politicians. But then, thats not likely to happen (hell, I'm sure I fall into that category plenty of the time as well).
Anyway, this is the downside of an elected democracy. Our politicians must balance what is best for our population and country with what will get them elected and keep them elected. Remember, "every cloud has a silver lining", and (this one is my own) "every nugget of gold has a center of lead."

| Posted 6 months ago Definitely some interesting perspectives here. Interestingly enough, if it actually resulted in policy change and a decrease in bureaucracy, I think I would actually support the notion of candidates understating their radicalism on certain issues until accepting office. Unfortunately, I think it is too often the case that politicians actually have to work to create staged difference between one another in order to be elected. From a platform perspective, Obama and Hillary are extremely, extremely similar. |
