NO BETTER LAND THAN THIS

Posted 2 months ago NO BETTER LAND THAN THIS If I knew a better country in this glorious world But I notice when an alien wants a land of hope So I'm thinking when I listen to the wails of THIS WAS WRITTEN OVER 90 YEARS AGO AND STILL APPLIES TODAY! I have to ask Americans this question. If your house was filled with snakes and you didn't know which ones were poisonous, would you let them continue to live in your home with the people you care about and love? Would you simply say, "Oh, I don't know which ones are the poisonous ones and it wouldn't be fair to throw out the ones that are not, so I'll just keep the whole lot." I'm sorry, but I care about my loved ones and friends and even the people all over America that I don't even know. I would not take a gamble on one of the poisonous snakes biting one or many of us and making us sick or possibly killing us. I'd toss out the whole lot. So why is America allowing terrorists (poisonous snakes) to live among us. Professors, doctors, students, etc. are living here in our homeland, not because they want to be Americans, but for more sinister reasons. Have we forgotten what happened in our country on September 11, 2001? What is happening right under our noses and what could and probably will happen in the future? We need to be and stay vigilant. Wake up and smell the coffee! Don't get me wrong, if someone from another land comes here because they truly, deeply in their hearts and souls want to be an American, in every sense of the word - to fight for America and all that America stands for, than welcome to our land. But everyone else can just get out and stay out! We don't want you here. And Mr. and Mrs. Obama, the same goes for you. You can't be proud to be an American only when it suits you. If you have lived all of your life here, in America, and something has just now made you proud to be an American, then I don't want you running our country. You should not be in a position to run America. You should have left America and went to another country, somewhere that you could have been proud to call your country, your home. And Mr. and Mrs. Obama, I have always heard that if you are wanting to join a church and you are a Christian, you should attend a church at least three Sundays in a row, thereby getting the feel of the church and learning the beliefs of the leader of the church and its congregation. If you have the same beliefs of the church (whether it be minister, pastor, etc., along with the congregation), usually the next step is to become a member of the church. How can you attend a church and not know their beliefs? And if you have, for all these years, been a member of the church and been ignorant of this, what does that say about you? Please, how stupid are we, America? What kind of president do you want? If Obama was a caring Christian and was a member of his church and friends with his congregation, wouldn't he also share in their beliefs? Could he really be so ignorant as to not know how the leader of his church and congregation felt? Was he asleep while sitting in his pew? Would he be as ignorant running our country? Would he care enough about America to be a good president? Or would he be asleep, unaware of what was being said, of what was going on around him? Would America be what he fought for, stood for, lived for? And only America and Americans? Think about that! |

Posted 13 days ago Interesting speech. America is still one of the richest lands that ever was and is. Don't knock it. When the people in Virginia and those in the Mayflower touched this place, they made a pact with God -- a covenant. This land was built on Biblical principles. It should be that way today.

Posted 12 days ago Yes, it was buitl on Biblical principles. But, we often cast those principles aside to suit our own personal beliefs. Besides, the people that actually framed the structure of America's house were mostly non-Christian. Yet they recognized that religion and the freedom to practice it (or not) and keep it separate from the running of the country is more important. They didn't want to make the same mistakes as the people that sent the folks over on the Mayflower! I think it worked out pretty good, don't you?!? And I'd rather have a humble man that at least attends church and at least says he'll work for all people, even if the pastor of his church isn't exactly the best of leaders. That's why he decided not to continue to follow in his footsteps. Now ask yourself, have you ever listened to a friend's notion or idea that may not have been the most Christian teaching/idea you've heard, but they are still your friend? Maybe not as tolerant of others as you, but you still speak to them? You are now guilty of the same thign that Obama is; and many of us have people like that in our lives. What does the man's ex-pastor have to do with him, anyway? Are you saying that Obama doesn't have a thought of his own and his ex-pastor always speaks for him? He's not an evangelical, remember?!? Disgusted: I think about this all the time. This sounds a like hate speech to me; something along the lines of what a racist would say right before dropping the 'N' word. I'm still trying to figure out your hatred for Senator Obama. Are you saying he's not Christian enough for you? Or he's the wrong type of Christian? Or he's not smart enough? As far as pride for country is concerned, maybe you think that the slavery period was a proud part of our country's history, or the slaughtering of the Native Indian, but you might find others that will disagree. That is what Mrs. Obama meant by her statement: that as a person of color in America, she has been subjected to things that aren't exactly proud moments in our country's history. Nobody's knocking America, it is the greatest country ever, but nobody's perfect. And it's the non-acknowledgement of that that sometimes gets in the way of progress here. I wonder what you thought of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Did you think he was a troublemaking complainer for asking that all citizens - not just black - should have equal rights? I think you should be proud that a nation like the USA can make a Senator from someone who struggled having a single parent and being a leader during a time where minorities weren't thought of as leaders. The man beat heavy odds and is living the American dream; you only find excuses to hate. peacbe: The country is not going Sharia law; nor will it ever. The Bill of Rights and the Constitution would have to completely disappear in order for the Biblical influence to disappear as well. With the way Congress and the current President pass laws and add to the BoR and the Constitiution, we're getting there. Remember, our right to complain/do something about it is our strongest power as Americans. We are the greatest nation ever and complaining about whats wrong and discussing it together as a people only make it better. Being compliant allows those in control to seize more power and squelch your right to do something.

Posted 5 days ago This is a great countryl And I'm glad for the freedom of speech and even the media isn't tied down to what the government tells them what to report as others do. We just have to listen to each other instead of the back and forth "I'm better than you are" or "I know more than you do". Let's help each other.

Posted 5 days ago Just remembered. There were 12 spies that went to spy out the land they were to enter 10 people came back with bad reports, 2 came back with 2. Who went into the promised land? Those that listened to the 2 not the 10. This is a great land. When we listen to the right people, we can even make it better. Thank you Lord!
